Hatsvali summit cafe reopens after full renovation
New double-glazed windows, a proper espresso machine and a wood-burning stove — plus the same khachapuri from the same family.
The small cafe at the top of the Hatsvali gondola had been running on charm and single-pane windows for a decade. The owners used the summer to replace the glazing, add a wood-burning stove, swap the kettle-based coffee for an actual espresso machine and extend the deck.
The menu is unchanged. Svan-style khachapuri, boiled lobio, a honey-lemon ginger brew. Prices went up by two lari each — the family said it was the first increase in four years.
The cafe opens with the gondola on 15 December. Cash still preferred, card now accepted via a satellite terminal.
