Biathlon World Cup teams train at Bakuriani in November
Four national teams booked the renovated biathlon arena for a pre-season camp from 10-24 November.
The Bakuriani biathlon arena, upgraded ahead of the 2023 World Championships, is hosting Czech, Austrian, Latvian and Kazakh teams during a two-week pre-season camp. The 2.5 km loop and shooting range are closed to the public from 09:00 to 15:00 on weekdays.
The tourism office is organising open training sessions on Saturday 15 November and 22 November; spectators can watch for free from the finish grandstand.
The resort village gets a quiet-week bump before the main season starts: hotels report 70 percent occupancy, mostly team staff and parents.
